Rewind. Γυρίζω πίσω. Επιστρέφω στις ρίζες για να ξαναβρώ τον εαυτό μου.

Ίσως καμιά φορά χρειάζεται να γυρίσει κανείς στην παιδική του ηλικία, εκεί όπου όλα ήταν αθώα, που δεν υπήρχε αυτοκριτική, που δεν υπήρχαν αναστολές. Εκεί που σε οδηγούσε η περιέργειά σου, η επιθυμία σου να ανακαλύψεις ελεύθερα, να νιώσεις, να εκφραστείς. Τότε που η φωνή σου ανήκε σε σένα και δεν ήταν η φωνή κάποιου άλλου που ενστερνίστηκες. Εκεί που δεν υπήρχαν «πρέπει» ή που τέλος πάντων δεν σε ένοιαζε να υποταχτείς σε αυτά.

Οι δικές μου ρίζες είναι η εποχή των 80s. Τότε που γεννήθηκα, που τριγύριζα σε ένα σπίτι γεμάτο μουσική από τα ηχεία του μπαμπά μου, που χόρευα μπροστά στην τηλεόραση αγκαλιά με το αρκουδάκι μου στους ήχους των Footloose, Flashdance και Dirty Dancing, που παίζοντας με τα παιχνίδια μου στο σαλόνι εγγράφονταν μέσα μου τα τραγούδια των Don Henley, Prince, Chris Rea, Madonna και Fleetwood Mac, που ηρεμούσα στην αγκαλιά της μαμάς μου ενώ μου τραγουδούσε Tina Turner και Cher.

Δεν είναι τυχαίο που μετά από μια περίοδο παύσης και άρνησης να ασχοληθώ με τη μουσική, επέστρεψα γράφοντας ένα άλμπουμ που είναι σαν να φτιάχτηκε το 1984. Αυτή είναι η δική μου αλήθεια, αυτή είμαι εγώ. Ένας άνθρωπος με αγάπη για τη ζωή, για τη δημιουργία, για τους ανθρώπους. Με δίψα για την αληθινή, ουσιαστική σύνδεση.

Οποιαδήποτε δυσκολία εμφανίζεται μπροστά μας, θα την αντιμετωπίσουμε. Γιατί έχουμε ο ένας τον άλλο. Ελπίζω αυτά τα τραγούδια να γίνουν και για σας ένα στήριγμα, μια αχτίδα αισιοδοξίας στο δώρο που λέγεται ζωή.
